Cleveland has become a popular choice to serve as the host city for major events across sports, entertainment and politics.

CLEVELAND — Unfortunately a white Christmas is just a dream for us this year. We made it to near 60 today!!!

Fog has been the biggest problem recently, but thankfully a lot of that fog mixed out for us today. It'll be back in some areas tonight.

The on-off fog chances will linger while we're waiting on a cold front to come in late Thursday into Friday. Not only will that front bring us a chance for rain showers, we'll end up with cooler temperatures too (keep in mind...I mean cooler as in upper 40s and low 50s).

Overall the last week of the year is looking considerably mild. Highs will stay in the 50s all the way until early next week when we'll start into a cooler trend to begin 2020.

Hope you've had a chance to enjoy this gift of mild weather.

TONIGHT: Areas of fog developing. Otherwise partly cloudy. Low 40s

THURSDAY: Patchy fog, then clouds increasing. Upper 50s/near 60

FRIDAY: Scattered rain showers. Mid 50s

SATURDAY: Sun peeks. Upper 40s/low 50s

SUNDAY: Rain likely. Upper 50s

MONDAY: Rain/snow shower chances, otherwise cloudy. Turning cooler. 40s (probably falling late day)

TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance for snow showers. Upper 30s

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy. Near 40
