CLEVELAND — Today's record high set back in 2022? 77 degrees.
Our forecasted high for today? 79 degrees.
An unseasonably warm and windy Election Day is ahead of us with temps that will soar into the upper 70s to near 80 this afternoon. We'll have quite the windy day as well with gusts over 30 mph at times. Expect a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day before clouds win out tonight as our next storm system approaches from the west.
Rain will move in along a cold front tonight, bringing soaking, much-needed downpours through northern Ohio. They rain will begin to exit tomorrow morning, but expect lingering showers for that Wednesday morning commute. Rain and clouds will head to the east during the morning and midday hours Wednesday as partial clearing begins to take place from north to south. Cooler air will also move in Wednesday with temps moving from the 60s early into the 50s later in the day.
Our next shot at rain doesn't arrive until Sunday as another storm system swings in from the west. Clouds will increase Saturday with showers moving in Saturday night into Sunday. This rain will also be brief as we'll begin to clear out to start next week.
