FORECAST | Unseasonably warm start to the week

Record warmth is on the way for Election Day.

CLEVELAND — What a fantastic day! Warm and breezy to start the work and school week. We stay very mild with some cloud cover and breezy winds tonight. Temperatures only drop back into the lower 60s.

Staying Breezy

Election Day will be even warmer! Temperatures to start the day will already be above the average high for many locations. If you're heading to the polls early, just a light jacket or layer. That won't be needed for long. Temperatures climb into the upper 70s, which could mean we set a new record highs. The current record for Hopkins is 77° and the forecast is for 79°. Either way, very warm! It will also be a fairly blustery day with mainly south winds gusting over 35 mph. If you end up having to wait outside to vote, you'll really just be contending with the wind. Dry and mainly sunny for much of the day- so grab the sun glasses!

Record Highs on Election Day

We still need rain and we'll get a chance for some minor showers late Tuesday night and into early Wednesday with a cold front. Right now, it looks like that rain will be exiting as we go through the morning commute.

Rainy Wednesday Morning

Cooler, but still above average, air will settle in for the rest of the week with highs back in the upper 50s and 60s.

Nice skies and a fall feel for Thursday - Saturday.

More rain potential looks to hold off until Saturday night into Sunday for right now. That's trending a little faster on some models, so we'll keep an eye on that for your weekend plans. Still mainly above average next week, but potentially a bit more active for the chance for showers.

3-DAY FORECAST

TUESDAY: Sunshine and windy. Clouds arrive late day. Record-setting highs in the upper 70s to near 80.

WEDNESDAY: Early rain then gradual clearing. Mid 60s.

THURSDAY: Mainly sunny. Upper 50s.
