AKRON, Ohio — With cold temperatures throughout Northeast Ohio, the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for multiple counties Tuesday morning.
“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” according to the National Weather Service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes, they should be wrapped, drained or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.”
Below is the full list of counties included in the Freeze Warning until 8 a.m. Tuesday.

- Geauga
- Holmes
- Huron
- Lorain
- Mahoning
- Medina
- Portage
- Richland
- Sandusky
- Seneca
- Stark
- Summit
- Trumbull
- Wayne
A Freeze Warning has been issued for the following counties until 9 a.m. Tuesday:
- Carroll
- Columbiana
- Coshocton
- Tuscarawas
A Frost Advisory has been issued in the following counties until 8 a.m. Tuesday:
- Cuyahoga
- Erie
- Lake
- Ottawa
“It does not feel like late April,” said 3News meteorologist Hollie Strano while giving her early morning weather forecast on Monday. “Here we are entering into the last week, and we’re seeing lots of 30s on the map as far south as Nashville.”
