CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — With several parts of Northeast Ohio under a Flash Flood Warning, we are seeing areas of high water on Monday evening.
3News photojournalist Sean Forester made his way to Cleveland Metroparks' Big Creek Reservation. Major flooding has closed the Creekside Shelter.
A Flash Flood Warning is in place for the following areas until 10:30 p.m.:
- Northeastern Ashland County
- Central Lorain County
- Southern Cuyahoga County
- Central Medina County
There is also a Flash Flood Warning for the central portion of Cuyahoga County until 10:45 p.m. tonight.
The city of Chagrin Falls lived up to its name this afternoon as heavy rain and flooding impacted the village and the series of waterfalls along the Chagrin River.

Flash flooding has already happened in several local cities. Residents may also see flooding in small creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Low-lying areas are also at risk of flooding due to the heavy rains.
