How much snow fell in your area? Here are the final snowfall totals in Northeast Ohio

The National Weather Service reports several communities received at least a foot of snow during this week's storm.

CLEVELAND — Have you dug your way out of the snow yet? Many in Northeast Ohio received at least a foot of snow during the during this week's winter storm. Some received well above that.

The National Weather Service and its group of trained spotters have put out the following preliminary numbers that indicate the amount of snow that fell during the entire event (in inches):

Ashland County

  • Loudonville - 7.5
  • Ashland - 6.5
  • Hayesville - 5.9

Ashtabula County

  • Monroe Center - 16.4
  • Saybrook - 14.0
  • South Madison - 12.1
  • Trumbull - 12.0
  • Cherry Valley - 11.4

Remember, as our Chief Meteorologist Betsy Kling likes to say, "focus on the impact, not on the numbers." Many areas may not have gotten as much snow as others, but may be dealing with more ice or more snow drifts. The bottom line is to still be careful out there, especially with the lingering chilly temperatures.
