CLEVELAND — Road conditions could be slippery as accumulating snow makes its return to Northeast Ohio with several inches possible Wednesday into Thursday.
ODOT says they are ready to battle the wintry blitz until the snow subsides.
They will be dispatching 300 crews in 12-16 hour shifts to plow and salt roadways throughout the following counties: Ashland, Ashtabula, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull and Wayne.
ODOT officials are also urging all drivers to allow extra time when traveling in the snowy conditions.
"Remember, don't crowd the plow," ODOT declared. "Give us room to work."
3News' meteorologist Hollie Strano said we can expect to see 1-3" of snow on the ground by Thursday morning. Once the system snow moves out, lake effect will take over with additional accumulations where the snow bands persist.
“Tomorrow morning’s drive is going to be a tricky one," Strano said.
