CLEVELAND — After dealing with morning storms throughout Northeast Ohio, we're going to have gusty winds amid a big drop in temperatures throughout the hours ahead.
That's why the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for multiple counties in our region with gusts up to 50 mph possible -- and you should keep your phone charged just in case the electricity goes out.
"Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," according to the National Weather Service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects."
So which counties are impacted? You can see the list below...
WIND ADVISORY
In effect from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. for the following counties:
- Ashland
- Ashtabula
- Cuyahoga
- Erie
- Geauga
- Huron
- Lorain
- Ottawa
- Richland
- Sandusky
- Seneca
In effect from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. for the following counties:
- Ashtabula
- Lake
Temperatures will fall into the 20s tonight, but 3News' Senior Meteorologist Matt Wintz says it will feel more like 10 degrees when factoring in the wind.
"It’s going to kick up Lake Erie," Wintz said. "We’re expecting waves maybe approaching 12-15 feet later today. Those are some serious waves."
