NWS issues Flash Flood Warning in multiple Northeast Ohio counties

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect in parts of Cuyahoga County, Geauga County and Lake County until 12:45 a.m. on Sunday.

CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning in several Northeast Ohio counties as downpours and wind gusts threaten the region. 

The Flash Flood Warning affects the following counties:

  • Cuyahoga County, Geauga County and Lake County until 12:45 a.m. Sunday
  • Portage County until 12:15 a.m. on Sunday
  • Coshocton County and Tuscarawas County until 9:15 p.m. Saturday

The NWS says thunderstorms show heavy rain across the warned areas, where around 1.5 inches have fallen. Additional rainfall is possible. 

Additionally, the NWS issued a Flood Advisory for the following counties: 

  • Ashtabula County until 11:15 p.m.
  • Cuyahoga County until 10:30 p.m.
  • Geauga County until 11:15 p.m.
  • Lake County until 11:15 p.m.
