The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for multiple Northeast Ohio Counties Tuesday.
A storm was apparently located near Chesterville around 4:54 p.m. moving east. That triggered a warning for Richland and Ashland Counties, which has since expired
More warnings later came for all or parts of Lorain, Medina, and Wayne Counties. Currently, a severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for portions of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties until 8:15 p.m. Localities still expected to be hit hardest include New Philadelphia and Dover.
Residents should expect wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter-sized hail. Damage to trees, power lines, and vehicles is possible.
