CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Trumbull County until 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
At 5:54 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Leavittsburg, near Warren, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Residents are advised to get to the lowest floors of their homes. Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour were possible, along with damage to trees and power lines.
Previous thunderstorm warnings for Erie, Huron, Lorain, Carroll and Tuscarawas Counties all expired from 3-5:30 p.m. In addition, a small portion of Southeast Trumbull County is under a flash flood warning until 6:15 p.m.
