CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of several Northeast Ohio counties until 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The areas by the alert affected include:
- South central and east central Cuyahoga County
- Southwestern Geauga County
- Northeastern Medina County
- Northwestern Portage County
- Northern Summit County
Communities expected to be hit hardest include Akron, Parma, Streetsboro, Bainbridge, and Hinckley. Residents should be on the lookout for strong rain, wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour, quarter-sized hail, and damage to trees and power lines.
