CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service had issued multiple tornado warnings Sunday for portions of Ashland, Erie, Huron, Lorain and Richland counties that have since expired.
According to officials, a severe thunderstorm "capable of producing a tornado" was first spotted over Ontario just before 5:45 p.m. It was headed north at roughly 50 mph, with communities like Mansfield and Norwalk directly in its path.
Later, a second storm was spotted near Lorain headed northwest, with that city as well as Vermillion and Amherst among those facing the most danger. 3News has since received photos of storm damage across the area.

In addition, the entire region was under a severe thunderstorm watch at some point, with counties like Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lorain, and Stark dealing with severe thunderstorm warnings.
