Tornado watch in effect: Strong storms slam Northeast Ohio

Tornado warnings had been issued in several spots.

Strong storms are moving through the area, which triggered a flurry of severe weather alerts Sunday afternoon.

All tornado warnings were canceled by 6 p.m., but the National Weather Service issued a new tornado warning until 7 p.m. in the following regions near the Pennsylvania state line:

- Northeastern Trumbull County

- Southeastern Ashtabula County

Those warnings have also since been canceled.

A tornado watch is in effect, however, until 9 p.m. for multiple counties throughout the area. See all the current severe weather alerts here.

After all this, temperatures are going to take an extreme dive overnight with snowflakes possible first thing Monday morning.
