LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — Some neighborhoods woke up without electricity Sunday morning. The good news? Power has been restored to most customers who were impacted throughout Northeast Ohio.
FirstEnergy was reporting more than 3,000 power outages as of 8 a.m.
Here are the areas facing the highest number of outages as of 8:30 a.m.:
- Huron County: 1,746 outages -- Wakeman is the most impacted spot.
- Lorain County: 917 outages -- Elryia and Henrietta Township are most impacted spots.
- Erie County: 815 outages -- Florence Township is the most impacted spot.
Updated outage numbers at 9:15 are as follows:
- Huron County: Fewer than five outages.
- Lorain County: 359 outages.
- Erie County: Fewer than five outages.
FirstEnergy estimates power should be restored in these communities by approximately 10 a.m.
There are a handful of outages in other counties, too, including Cuyahoga, Summit, Lake and Geauga.
