Northeast Ohioans can expect snow to end 2019

We won't escape 2019 unscathed.

Northeast Ohioans enjoyed a quiet Christmas amid mild temperatures, but as the year comes to an end, so does the pleasant weather.

Despite the rain and balmy temperatures we experienced Monday, things are changing today.

3News Meteorologist Hollie Strano says a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for portions of the snow belt, spanning Cleveland, its east side and Akron.

Hollie says most can anticipate 1-3 inches from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, meaning things may die down just in time for your New Year's Eve celebrations.

We could also see some leftover snow on New Year's Day, but temperatures should rise again, with 50s expected by Friday.
