CLEVELAND — Here we go again!

Winter weather alerts have been expanded for more counties across Northeast Ohio as we track some accumulating snow.

As of Monday morning, the National Weather Service has now issued a Winter Storm Warning along with a Winter Weather Advisory the following counties...

WINTER STORM WARNING

In effect from 1 p.m. Monday until 10 a.m. Tuesday

  • Inland Ashtabula
  • Geauga
  • Cuyahoga

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY

In effect from 1 p.m. Monday until 10 a.m. Tuesday

  • Lakeshore Ashtabula
  • Lake
  • Medina
  • Portage
  • Summit
  • Trumbull

You can expect rain to start the day on Monday, but that will quickly change to snow as colder air gets pulled into the atmosphere. That changeover will lead to snow that won't stick at first. But as those temps fall, we are expecting accumulations.

The National Weather Service warns that travel could be very difficult as a result of the snowy conditions.

"Snow will intensify during the evening commute today and be heavy at times through late tonight," according to the National Weather Service. "Snow will diminish from west to east on Tuesday morning."
