CLEVELAND — Lake effect it is...Winter Weather Advisory are posted for Cuyahoga, Summit, Medina, and Geauga counties through 4 a.m. on tomorrow (Friday) morning.
Intense bands of lake effect are currently ongoing and likely to persist through the afternoon & evening too. This means areas included in these advisories have the potential to pick up an inch to several inches of snowfall. Please travel with caution as lake effect snow has the ability to create a drastic change in visibility abruptly. Also, conditions are already slick, so allow for extra time this evening during your commutes home.
The advisory comes just days after Northeast Ohio received its first big blast of snow of the season. Some areas reported more than 20 inches of snow from Sunday night into Monday. Several communities were still struggling to clear out roads as of Wednesday.
