CLEVELAND — Here we go again!
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that took effect for all of Northeast Ohio starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Impacts are going to vary from area to area, but overall expect slow going for Friday morning. Snow is expected to spread over the area well before dawn and we may see an uptick in the intensity by the time the commute gets going.
The Advisory will go until 4 p.m. Friday for the following counties:
- Erie
- Lorain
- Huron
- Medina
- Summit
- Portage
- Trumbull
- Richland
- Ashland
- Wayne
- Stark
- Mahoning
- Holmes
- Knox
These counties will be under the Advisory until 4 a.m. on Saturday morning:
- Cuyahoga
- Lake
- Geauga
- Ashtabula
Snow accumulations by Friday night will likely be 1"-3" for most, with upwards of 2" to 5" possible in the snowbelt areas.
The National Weather Service and the Ohio Department of Transportation emphasizes that travel could be very difficult during this time. Hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
