Winter weather advisory in effect for parts of Northeast Ohio

Get ready for another blast of winter weather as snow continues to move into Northeast Ohio over the next 48 hours

Winter Weather Advisory issued for parts of northeast Ohio on Sunday, January 31, 2021

CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service continues its winter weather advisory for parts of Northeast Ohio.

The alert began at 1 a.m. Sunday morning and will end at 10 p.m. Sunday night. The following local counties are affected:

  • Ashland
  • Carroll
  • Holmes
  • Huron
  • Richland
  • Stark
  • Tuscarawas
  • Wayne

FORECAST: Snowy Sunday with the heaviest falling south

Total storm accumulations of 4 to 6 inches of snow will be possible in these areas through Sunday evening according to the National Weather Service office in Cleveland. Most of NE Ohio will see between 1-4 inches of snow. 

Travel could be difficult at times with reduced visibilities and icy road conditions. Plan on extra travel time on Sunday.
