CLEVELAND — Although it’s technically spring, Mother Nature isn’t quite done with winter yet as snow and much colder temperatures have returned to Northeast Ohio.
Cuyahoga and Summit counties are both under a Winter Weather Advisory until 9 p.m. Thursday as a result of lake effect snow. The National Weather Service says accumulations could range from 1-4 inches locally with wind gusts as strong as 30 mph.
A quick burst of snow caused multiple traffic issues, including the closure of I-77 in both directions between Ghent Road and the Summit / Cuyahoga County line.

“Snow is expected to flare up again for the evening commute,” according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland.
Drivers should plan on the potential for slippery road conditions and reduced visibilities.
Once the snow moves out, temperatures will warm into the 40s Friday. Even better? Much warmer air returns just in time for the weekend with temperatures climbing back into the 60s.
