LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- Authorities have released the name of the 1-year-old boy who died after falling from a 9th floor window at Castlewood Apartments.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office says Kwaku Nuamah was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center after the incident.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Authorities say Kwaku fell from a window at the apartment complex located on Detroit Avenue around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the fall was about 72 feet.
The child, who is believed to be a boy, was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.
A neighbor, who also lives on the 9th floor, says the windows without balconies are about 1 foot of the ground.
Police are investigating the incident.
