"Light It Up Purple" event for Alzheimer's awareness being held Thursday

The charity event benefits the Alzheimer's Association Lorain County Chapter.

Sprenger Health Care Systems is partnering with multiple businesses in Lorain County for the 'Light It Up Purple' fundraiser benefitting the Alzheimer's Association Lorain County Chapter.

The event will be held on August 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lorain Palace Theater, located at 617 Broadway Ave. in Lorain. It will feature food from several local restaurants, including Yala's and Eliseo's Pizza, The Boiler Room Tap House at The Shipyards, Marta's N' More Bakery, Sugar Buzz, Barra Tacos + Cocktails, and Mutt & Jeff's Restaurant and Bar, among others. The event will also feature a signature cocktail for those over the age of 21.

The event will also feature music from 3News' own Monica Robins and her band, the Ninja Cowboys. 

Guests can also enjoy a 50/50 raffle, a photo booth, giveaways and more.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at the door, or by clicking HERE. Be advised, the event is for guests ages 18 and over.
