WESTLAKE, Ohio — As the season changes and the skies clear, Clevelanders typically head outside to have some fun. But let's be honest, not every day is a sunny one in Northeast Ohio - and luckily there's a new place where the fun is always happening inside. In fact the sky is the limit at Urban Air Adventure Park, which just opened its second Northeast Ohio location in Westlake's Crocker Park.
3News Meteorologist Jason Mikell decided to check out the spot for the latest in his "New in Town" series.
Owner Ted Grambo told Jason that the new location offers nearly 50,000 square feet of fun.
"We have a huge variety of activities here," he said. "Everything from climbing structures behind us, we have rock wall. We have indoor go-karts. We have traditional trampolines. We have a little bit of everything for all the active kids."
But as Jason quickly learned, this place isn't only for the kids in your life - it's perfect for anyone who is a kid at heart - no matter your age.
"Our activities will really cover all age ranges. In particular, what we love is when parents and kids get a chance to play together," Grambo said. "So what we do to help promote that, is that whatever pass the child has, we will give the parent the same pass for half price to motivate them to play with the kids and have some fun."
Naturally, the conversation turned back to weather. Ted told Jason he doesn't mind a bad weather day in Cleveland.
"Typically when the weather is really nice outside, you know, people have more to choose from, more to do," he said. "When it's raining and the forecast is bad and people like to get mad at you, I'm actually happy because business is usually very robust," he said with a laugh.
