Cedar Point Vice President and General Manager Carrie Boldman to step down

'This was always in her timing and not related to the merger,' park spokesperson Tony Clark tells 3News.

SANDUSKY, Ohio — Leadership changes are coming to Cedar Point as Vice President and General Manager Carrie Boldman is stepping down from her role as she's set to retire at the end of the year.

Cedar Point spokesperson Tony Clark tells 3News "this was always in her timing" and "is not related to the merger" with Six Flags, which happened earlier this year.

Clark did not provide any timeframe on when her replacement will be announced.

Boldman, a Huron native, has been in the position since 2021, becoming the first woman to serve as the park's vice president and general manager.

"Boldman previously served as Cedar Point’s vice president of merchandise and games, and brings 25 years of experience in strategic development, brand management and merchandising expertise to her new role," park officials initially revealed when announcing Boldman had been elevated to the role of VP and general manager back on April 6, 2021. "She spent 16 years as director of product development and design for Disney Parks and Resorts. She then spent two years as director of marketing and sales for The Chef’s Garden, a family owned sustainable farm in Huron, Ohio, before joining the Cedar Fair team in 2013."

The ride is currently under construction. Siren's Curse will be located across from the Iron Dragon and near Valravn.

Speculation has also been swirling about what Cedar Point plans to do with newly available space in the park, which comes amid the recent closure of Snake River Falls, Snake River Expedition and Professor Delbert's Frontier Fling. Other than saying the ride closures were done for future development, no additional details have been revealed.
