CLEVELAND —
In Thursday's "Pop Break" on What's New, Digital Anchor Stephanie Haney discusses new photos that suggest Demi Lovato may be dating Machine Gun Kelly, Oprah Winfrey joining Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb on their new show, and Victoria's Secret models signing a letter demanding that the company address what they say is a toxic workplace culture.
The Model Alliance, a group that works to create safe work environments for people in the modeling industry, released a letter on Thursday calling for concrete actions to be taken by L Brand, the parent company of Victoria’s Secret.
The letter cites inappropriate touching, behavior, and advances towards the models from several executives working for L Brand. Dozens of models, including Christy Turlington, signed the letter accusing the brand of bullying and misogyny and demanding they end the workplace harassment.
In November, Victoria’s Secret canceled their annual fashion show amid backlash over a lack of diversity and inclusion.
In response to the letter, a spokesperson for L Brands told Bloomberg: "We absolutely share a common goal with Model Alliance to ensure the safety and well-being of models. Our robust Photo Shoot Procedures, including training and oversight, were implemented in May 2019."
The spokesperson also said the company's practices "reflect elements of the Model Alliance program," that they were "proud of the progress" they've made and are "always open to engage with those looking to make improvements in the industry."
Today Show co-hosts Hoda and Jenna launched their new morning show, “Hoda & Jenna & Friends,” on Thursday for the first time with a live studio audience, and will be joined for the first time by Oprah Winfrey on Friday.
Jenna shared with 3News' Romney Smith how she secretly wrote Oprah a letter asking her to be their first official guest on their new show, and of course, she accepted.
You can watch “Hoda & Jenna & Friends” Thursday’s and Friday’s at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on NBC.
Also this week, newly released photos obtained by Page Six show Cleveland native Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) looking cozy with singer and actor Demi Lovato. The pair were spotted leaving SoHo house in Los Angeles, sparking rumors of a possible new romance.
The two were said to have left in separate cars, but MGK was said to have walked her to her car, opened her door, and said a quick goodbye as if the two were planning to continue the night elsewhere.
