The TODAY show had some spirit in the studio today as they welcomed the stars of Netflix’s new docuseries, Cheer, which follows the 14 time National champion cheer team from Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas. The show has been acclaimed by critics, fans, and celebrities alike, which led to one huge surprise as the cast sat down with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush-Hager. Houston Texans football player JJ Watt surprised the stars and did an impromptu sit down with the TODAY anchors. Watt is one of many public figures who have expressed their admiration for the show: Chrissy Teigen, Reese Witherspoon and Simone Biles just to name a few. During the nearly 10 minute interview, Watt even suggests that he help out the team at nationals this year as a stumbler.
