Broadway star Leslie Odom Jr. sends message to National Council of Jewish Women/Cleveland

“We can all use a little light right now."

CLEVELAND — On Tuesday night, the Terminal Tower will light up blue and green in honor of the National Council of Jewish Women/Cleveland.

To celebrate their historic 125th anniversary, the organization was scheduled to host a ball, but unfortunately due to COVID-19, the event had to be cancelled.

‘Hamilton’ star Leslie Odom Jr. was slated to perform at the celebration tonight, but due to the cancellation, Odom had to find a way to get creative.

Odom decided to send the NCJW a message of thanks and support, for their hard work over the past 125 years.

“I’m heartbroken that I’m not with you today in person to celebrate, I still wanted to send this video just to be a part of the moment of wishing you, and thanking you” Odom said, “Wishing you well and thanking you for 125 years of changing the lives of countless women, children, and families in Cleveland.”

You can watch Odom's message in the player above.

The NCJW is a group devoted to helping the lives of those all around the country through progress and Jewish ideals.
