Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest to hold qualifying round Thursday night at Parma Rib 'N Rock: Winners to advance to Coney Island for July 4

The top male and female eaters will qualify to compete in the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island on July 4.

PARMA, Ohio — Ready… Set… Eat!

With the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest just one month away, competitive eaters will face off in a qualifying round Thursday night at Parma Rib ‘N Rock with the male and female winners advancing to the big event at Coney Island in New York this July 4.

Parma Rib 'N Rock is located at Cuyahoga Community College Western Campus on West Pleasant Valley Road.

Miki Sudo, the No. 1 ranked competitive female eater, will be there to meet with fans. She's a nine-time champion in the female division, having gobbled up 39.5 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes last year. Her all-time best is 48.5.

The Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest has been dominated by top eater Joey Chestnut of Westfield, Indiana, who earned his 16th title in 2023. He currently holds the world record of eating 76 hot dogs and buns eaten in 10 minutes.

Chestnut made a stop in Brunswick last year to compete in the 2023 Apple Cider Donut 2023 World Championship at Mapleside Farms, which he won after eating 69 donuts. Our own Austin Love was also there to compete -- and you can watch how that all unfolded in the video below...
