Flats East Bank launches food-drive in partnership with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank

Northeast Ohioans can donate and get discounts at participating restaurants for a limited time.

CLEVELAND — Editor's note: the video in the player above is from a story published on November 20, 2020. 3News' Will Ujek shows off the best-- and safest-- ways to celebrate the holidays in Northeast Ohio this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Flats East Bank and their participating restaurants are collecting donations for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank beginning today and running through December 22,  2020.

Restaurants participating in collected donated food are Alley Cat Oyster Bar, Beerhead Bar and Eatery, Dante's Inferno,  Lago East Bank,  Margaritaville Cleveland,  thirsty Dog East Bank, and Truman's 216.

In return for a non-perishable donation or a monetary gift, the participating restaurants will provide a discount towards a future visit.

Diners to participating restaurants are asked to bring non-perishable food items like beans,  peanut butter, canned or boxed dinners, 100% juice, cereal,  canned chicken and/or tuna, whole grain rice and pasta, and canned fruits and vegetables.

Donations go directly to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
