Summit County Animal Control is participating in NBC's national pet adoption initiative Clear the Shelters throughout the month of August.
During the Clear the Shelters Adoption campaign, adoption costs for dogs have been reduced from $94 to $28. The cost to adopt a cat is down from $50 to just $5.
All pets adopted from the Summit County shelter will be fully vetted, which includes bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-working, spay/neuter and vaccinations. The pets are ready to go home to a loving family!
Clear the Shelters is an annual national pet adoption drive that helps animals need find new, loving homes. Last year, 20 shelters across Northeast Ohio participated in the adoption campaign and close to 2,500 pets found new homes in our area alone!
Since Clear the Shelters began in 2015, more than 700,000 homeless pets have found homes.
The Summit County Animal Shelter is located at 250 Opportunity Parkway in Akron. For more information: 330-643-2845.
