Northeast Ohio animal rescue looking to find home for dog in shelter since 2018

Animal Charity of Ohio believes that Onyx has been overlooked "due to his loud bark," but add that "he’s all heart" and "just likes to announce his presence."

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — An animal rescue in Northeast Ohio is looking for a home for Onyx, a lovable dog who has been there for nearly six years. And you can adopt him with no fees involved.

Youngstown-based Animal Charity of Ohio says Onyx is their longest resident, having been there since July of 2018. The rescue believes that Onyx has been overlooked "due to his loud bark," but add that "he’s all heart" and "just likes to announce his presence."

"He loves his humans that come to walk him and take him on adventures daily! But he’s more than ready for a home of his own," Animal Charity of Ohio added in its Facebook post.

The rescue adds that Onyx is 7-years-old and needs to be in a home without other animals.
