More than $160,000 raised for Cleveland APL as 3News hosts Fur-Get-Me-Not Telethon

The 13th annual Fur-Get-Me-Not Telethon raised money for the Cleveland APL.

CLEVELAND โ€” For the 13th time, WKYC Studios and the Cleveland Animal Protective League partnered up to host the annual "Fur-Get-Me-Not" Telethon on Thursday. And once again, the generosity of our community has been on full display. 

As of Thursday evening, the total money raised during the Fur-Get-Me-Not" Telethon thus far is $160,007.27

The telethon took place Thursday from 5 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on WKYC. 

Although the telethon is over, donations are always accepted by the Cleveland APL, and can be made online HERE.

Throughout the day, the APL's work to rescue, heal, nurture, adopt and advocate for animals was showcased.

All proceeds will be used to benefit Cleveland APL, which will use the money to assist with medical care, animal rescue and the daily care of animals at the shelter. 

In addition, the Cleveland APL is also selling limited-edition t-shirts that highlight the telethon's logo. The $30 shirts can be purchased HERE until Sunday, April 21. 

During last year's telethon, over $128,000 was raised to support the APL's efforts.
