WESTLAKE, Ohio — The city of Westlake has grown tremendously over the last several years, and is continuing to develop property along Crocker Road.
A new development, called Corporate Circle Development will be a mixed-use property to incorporate retail and office businesses.
Mayor Dennis Clough told 3News that Shake Shack and Verizon are among the tenants that have agreed to move into the property once complete.
"This whole area continues to be a dynamic location," says Mayor Clough.
The new development will be directly across the street from Crocker Park, which has grown in popularity and welcomed well known businesses.
Mayor Clough told 3News that the city continues to attract businesses to the area.
Although the area has grown in popularity, many have complained about congestion along Crocker Rd., however Mayor Clough says the city has done a good job to limit traffic.
"I think we've done a pretty good job of predicting traffic prior to opening Crocker Park and with respect to the new development that we're just talking about, Crocker Rd. has been sufficiently sized to meet the traffic demand," says Mayor Clough.
Developers say tenants should start to move into the new development by Thanksgiving, just in time for the holidays.
