Original story:
As the state of Ohio continues to see a surge in positive COVID-19 cases, one local restaurant is taking action to slow the spread of the disease.
On Saturday, Doug Katz's Zhug announced that because of the surge it is transitioning to take-out only services, halting its dine-in services.
"We want to make sure we are doing out part to ensure the safety of our team and community, " the restaurant said in a social media post.
The change went into effect Saturday, December 18.
The popular restaurant is moving forward with the change for the "next several weeks," and does not have a set date for the return of its dine-in services.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your continued support," the post concluded.
According to its website, " Zhug is a new concept by chef Douglas Katz that offers Middle Eastern Mezze in a casual, high energy urban space at Cedar Fairmount in Cleveland Heights."
Zhug is located at 12413 Cedar Rd in Cleveland Heights.
