FAIRLAWN, Ohio — As the community continues to rally behind Norton teen Emma Pfouts, a special fundraiser is being held in her honor Thursday, March 5 at the BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse locations in Fairlawn and Canton.
Emma, who spent weeks in a medically induced coma, remains in recovery at the hospital months after collapsing at the Norton High School homecoming dance last October.
To participate in Thursday’s fundraiser, just go to one of the two BJ’s restaurants between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. 20 percent of the sales will benefit the “Emma Strong” fundraiser. Just be sure to notify your server you are there for the fundraising event.
If you can’t dine in, the benefit is good for carry-out orders, too. Just make sure to notify the staff at checkout you are there to support Emma.
Wearing a “We Roar With Emma” T-shirt will also land you a coupon for a free pizookie dessert at BJ’s for your next visit.
Emma continues to recover at the hospital. She recently celebrated her 17th birthday last month.
