CLEVELAND — The Word Church announced Tuesday that they will be hosting a free toy and grocery giveaway on Wednesday, December 23.
The event will take place at The Word Church's downtown campus located at 5900 Kinsman Avenue, Cleveland Ohio. 44104 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
"It's been a tough year," Dr. R. A. Vernon, Church founder and senior pastor, said in a news release. "This is just one way we're doing our part to spread good cheer, bring joy to kids, and prayerfully eliminate some of the pressure strapped parents may be feeling this time of year."
There will be no prescreening, all are welcome to join the event. Groceries and toys are limited, though, so those interested should plan on getting there early. Goods will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
For those interested in contributing to the giving, you can drop off a new toy Tuesday, December 22, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Just pull up to the glass doors in the front of the building and there will be a bin located just inside of the doors where donations can be placed.
