AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department and the Summit County Medical Examiner is investigating the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man.
Police were called to the 600 block of Sherman Street just before 3:30 a.m. Friday. When they arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound to the torso.
The victim has been positively identified as Alex Tabler from Akron.
Tabler was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where he later died.
