AKRON, Ohio — A man was found guilty in Summit County Common Pleas Court on Monday of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced that a jury found Robin Stevens, Jr. guilty of rape.
According to reports, in June of 2019, the victim was spending the night at a relative's home and awoke to being sexually assaulted by Stevens. The victim immediately told a relative, who transported the child to Akron Children's Hospital.
Stevens was found guilty of rape, attempted rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition.
Stevens is scheduled to be sentenced on May 2, 2022 at 1:30pm in Judge Susan Baker Ross’ courtroom.
