LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Authorities are looking to identify a suspect accused of robbing a bank in Lakewood on Thursday morning.
The incident took place at approximately 11:37 a.m. at the Citizens Bank located at 12222 Madison Ave. According to the FBI, the unknown subject entered the bank through the front entrance and approached the teller with a black drawstring backpack while making verbal demands for money. The suspect proceeded to display a black pistol tucked in the right side of his waistband before exiting the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and running north on Ridgewood Ave toward Franklin Blvd.
The suspect is described as the following:
- Black male
- Approximately 5'10"-6'01" tall
- Slim build
- Late 20's-early 30's in age
- Black knit hat
- Black Covid mask
- Gray hooded sweatshirt
- Carrying a blue umbrella
- Black pistol (waistband)
