The Cleveland Division of Police is seeking the public's help identifying and locating the person responsible for a fatal hit-and-run.
The incident took place Tuesday morning around 2 a.m. near East 78th Street and St. Clair Avenue and claimed the life of a 38-year-old man.
According to police, for reasons unknown, the unidentified man was walking east on St. Clair when he was struck by a vehicle traveling in the same direction.
The victim was found lying in the roadway by a security guard. He was transported to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead.
It is possible that the suspect could be driving a newer model gray, Jeep Grand Cherokee, police report.
Anyone with any information on the fatal crash is asked to contact investigators with the Cleveland Division of Police at 216-623-5290.
