CLEVELAND — Police are currently on the hunt for a vehicle they believe is connected to the shooting of an 11-year-old boy earlier this month on Cleveland's southeast side.
Officials say an unknown woman was driving the car on the night of April 9 when the crime occurred. The black, four-door sedan is described as having its front passenger-side headlight out along with "multiple" bullet holes.
According to investigators, someone from the car fired into a home on the 7800 block of New York Avenue, and the 11-year-old was struck in the stomach. He was rushed to UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in critical condition, and no update has been given on his status since.
Following the shooting, a suspect in the incident arrived at another local hospital via private automobile (presumably the one shown above), but that person's name has not been released.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect vehicle is asked to immediately call Cleveland Police Det. Werner at (216) 623-5418 or email him at rwerner@clevelandohio.gov.
