ELYRIA, Ohio — A Cleveland woman is facing charges after being arrested for allegedly robbing a U.S. Bank in Elyria earlier this month.
According to a press release from the Elyria Police Department, the robbery happened on the morning on Dec. 16 at the U.S. Bank on Midway Blvd. Police say 31-year-old Tyaesha Hunter entered the bank at approximately 9 a.m., told a teller that she was armed, and demanded money. She took the cash and fled the area on foot.
Hunter was apprehended in the 12000 block of Lenacrave Avenue in Cleveland on Thursday by detectives from the Elyria Police Department and Cleveland Division of Police, along with members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Police say Hunter is facing a charge of aggravated robbery, a felony of the first degree. She was taken to the Lorain County Jail, where she is being held without bond pending her initial appearance in Elyria Municipal Court.
