Cuyahoga Falls Police Department: Driver flees scene after striking woman with vehicle; victim suffers 'significant' injuries

A woman was struck by a silver Ford hatchback after falling into the street in Cuyahoga Falls.

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Cuyahoga Falls police are looking for the person who struck a woman with their vehicle and left the scene without stopping.

The incident happened on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at approximately 8:59 p.m.

According to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department, the victim had fallen and suffered an injury on a sidewalk near the 2nd Street and Stow Avenue intersection. 

The woman attempted to stand up, but fell again, this time partially into the roadway.  

Shortly after she fell, a silver Ford hatchback traveling northeast on 2nd Street struck the victim with their vehicle and did not stop after striking her.

The status of the victim is unknown at this time, but Cuyahoga Falls police said she suffered "significant" injuries.
