JEFFERSON, Ohio — An arrest warrant has been issued for a 31-year-old man wanted in connection with a weekend assault that happened outside of the Rare Cherry gentlemen’s club in Ashtabula County.
Daniel Booker Burch “allegedly drove a vehicle into a crowd of people, striking and critically injuring a bystander” early Saturday morning, according to the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Burch then continued through the parking lot before striking a telephone pole near the road where he fled the scene, possibly in another vehicle.
“The incident started as an altercation inside the establishment just before 2 a.m. and spilled out into the parking lot,” according to the sheriff’s office.
Burch is now facing charges of felonious assault and vehicular assault, both of which are second-degree felonies.
His whereabouts are unknown at this time, but anybody with information is asked to call the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office at 440-576-0055.
The victim is currently listed in stable condition.
