CLEVELAND — The death of a Cleveland woman who was found in need of medication attention in April has been officially ruled a homicide by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.

The 78-year-old woman passed away on April 6 after she was found in need of medical attention on the evening of Sunday, April 4 by Cleveland police officers and members of Emergency Medical Services.

Authorities had been called to 18920 Melville Road on the city's east side to check on the woman, and after their initial assessment she was taken in a private vehicle to Richmond Hospital.
