EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two people were injured during an incident at an East Cleveland apartment complex Sunday afternoon.
Police tell 3News a witness called 911 to report "multiple" gunshots fired with "numerous victims" at the Terrace Towers Apartments on Terrace Road. When officers arrived at the scene, several people told them a suspect was shooting inside the building.
The city's SWAT team cleared the building, but later discovered via surveillance video that the alleged shooter had fled the area. One man had been shot and a woman was stabbed, and their exact conditions are unknown at this time.
Authorities from the Cleveland Heights and South Euclid police departments also responded to the apartments. The matter remains under investigation.
