GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — A 40-year-old fugitive who was wanted in Georgia for aggravated murder has been captured in Northeast Ohio.
Authorities say Jason Hall was arrested Wednesday morning at an address near the 13400 block of Thornhurst Avenue in Garfield Heights.
He was wanted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office for a deadly shooting back on April 30 in the 500 block of Sunset Avenue NW in Atlanta. Authorities say the victim had been struck four times.
Hall’s capture comes after members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force had obtained information that he had fled Atlanta and was potentially living in the Cleveland area.
“Our task force members pursue fugitives from all over the United States,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said in a press release. “Today, this violent fugitive’s days of running ended when our team safely arrested him.”
No additional details about his arrest were immediately available.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force also wants to remind anybody with information regarding wanted fugitives in other cases should call 1-866-4WANTED (1-866-492-6833). Reward money is available, and tipsters may remain anonymous.
