Robert Reynolds, 34, has been charged with inducing panic, a fourth-degree felony, in connection to an incident that took place at the Chronicle-Telegram on Sunday.

Officers were called to the Chronicle-Telegram building at 225 East Avenue after a suspicious item was found outside of a door. A note was found under the item that read, "a bomb don't touch."

When officers arrived, they found a mailbox, lighter fluid and the note indicating that the package was a bomb. Officers made sure the building was fully evacuated and contacted the Lorain County Bomb Squad to investigate the item.

When the bomb squad arrived, they were able to determine that no explosives were present.

The next day, Reynolds contacted the Lorain County Sheriff's Office in-person with information on the "Chronicle incident." Reynolds confessed to placing the items outside of the Chronicle-Telegram building to detectives.

Reynolds was then placed under arrest and is currently in custody at the Lorain County Jail where he awaits an initial appearance in court.
