GREEN, Ohio — The Summit County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday night in the city of Green.
Deputies and city firefighters responded to Raber Road around 7 p.m., and a man was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound in his abdomen. The victim, a 45-year old from Akron, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are still searching for more details surrounding the shooting and the motives that caused it, but the suspect has been identified as 40-year-old Jeffrey J. Peasley, of Navarre. An arrest warrant has been issued charging Peasley with murder.
